Thinking about donating?

Are you getting ready to move out of your house for the summer? Think about what items you can donate and recycle instead of throwing them away. Below are the details of the charity shops in Moorland Road who accept donations in store. Please do not leave items on the pavements outside of opening times, this often gets taken and causes obstructions.

Shaw Trust

Welcome most donations of household goods, including working small electrical items. They also accept some furniture.

Welcome donations of toys, clothes, small electrical items, booksand bric-a-brac. They cannot take larger items or bedding.

Welcome donations of most small goods from toys, clothes, books and brick-a-brac and rags. They cannot take electrical items or furniture.

Got any bulky or large items of furniture?

There are lots of charities that will collect your furniture for re-sale for free. Alternatively B&NES Council can collect your broken or items unfit for re-sale for a small charge.

Genesis Trust

The accept donations of wardrobes, mattresses, beds, sofas, tables, chairs, mirrors, cookers, washing machines, fridge/freezers, electrical goods, household items etc.

Accept items like soft furnishings, wooden furniture and electrical items. Ask only for items that you “would pick to buy at a second hand furniture shop”

Accept donations of furniture, white goods, TVs, DVD players, bric-a-brac,
Clothes, Book and Bicycles.

They cannot take Washing machines, Gas cookers, Computer monitors or printers, Young infant items (prams, buggies cots etc.), office equipment
