Can you volunteer 2-3hrs of your time a week during term time? Are you interesting in working in the community, helping student residents to live in and engage with the wider community in Bath?
The Student Community Partnership (SCP) are introducing a new Community Rep scheme. Student residents make up a large percentage of the local population during term time. The aim of the scheme is to ensure student residents have all the information they need when living in the community in Bath and to encourage positive relationships between student residents, permanent residents and the members of the SCP.
The Community Reps will take part in door knocks, events and project planning, and represent the views of students living in the community. You will be able to learn about and input into community issues and be part of developing ideas and projects to help establish and maintain positive community relationships.
You will receive training and personal development opportunities and have the opportunity to work with departments within all five partners of the SCP, such as the B&NES Council Waste Awareness Team. The Community Reps will be working as a team including students from both University of Bath and Bath Spa University.
